Contemplation Hour

The painting is of the Melbourne skyline at sunset, looking west from an escarpment above the Birrarung/Yarra River on Yarra Boulevard. There’s something special about high points in the landscape – they seem to enable some degree of internal perspective as well as perspective on the landscapes they rise above.
